Foreshore erosion and coastal damage from cyclones are prevalent throughout the developed coastlines of the group and there are few, if any, coastal resorts which do not have beach erosion problems – the majority of their own making. There are no specialist coastal engineering consultants resident in Fiji and many resorts have suffered from poor locally proffered advice. Environment Consultants Fiji works with a single international specialist and we have together built up an extensive local data base as well as a growing list of successful interventions or advice for resort/facility design.
